Name that Staffing Firm
Oxford Technical, Inc. started in 1998 to address the demand for contract technical professionals in the Pittsburgh region. The ownership is rumored to have ties to the English throne…others claim that the name was picked out of a hat because it sounds regal, established and prestigious. Nobody knows exactly where the Oxford name came from, but one thing is for sure, the name is synonymous with excellence in staffing. Oxford Technical, Inc. supplied engineers, designers, and drafters to work on a temporary basis to augment local engineering consulting firms’ full-time staff. Client companies were happy with our ability to find the “right person for the right job” and our range of services expanded to include Contract-to-Direct as well as Direct Hire services. In January 2005, the name changed to Oxford Solutions, Inc. to cover a broader umbrella of services offered. Oxford has (6) six core areas of specialization including Technical, Information Technology, Sales Support, Executive, Accounting, and Administrative.
